Took 4 months and $2.2k to install a honeycomb grille he quoted $650 on. He stringed me along to waste time by making... excuses and made me give money to his “friend” to fix his mistakes who just disappeared with the money and didn’t do anything.

Got gaslit into thinking he was doing something about the issues.

I don’t normally write reviews but this is warning to not go to Zee Nguyen / OnPoint247 for any services. He will lie and cheat you in ways you don’t even realize (I paid to have his car washed).
I spent over $2.2k for a honeycomb grille installation that took 4 months to fix. He originally quoted me $650.
The funny part is it’s not the money that’s ticking me off as if I had understood the risk, the onus would be on me. But instead, he repeatedly lied to me and gaslit me into thinking it’s normal to look like my car came out of a crash with broken sensors and that this has never happened to him. He told me to drive it off and that it’ll fix itself.
After I kept on asking him for help, he then referred me to a friend who works at Audi who ended up just taking my money and doing nothing. To top it off he tried defending himself by saying he warns everyone except me of the risks (even though he was claiming it never happens). At the end I went to two different independent Audi specialist mechanics and Audi themselves who confirmed the installation was botched.
After I wrote a review on his business page he tried to lie and say he referred me to Audi and not his friend. You might think wow he has great reviews – he only sends his page after he thinks you’ll give him a good review. There’s another person with a similar experience with me if read through his reviews.

There is a TL;DR folder but I would recommend looking at all the pictures.
He also sent a bunch of voicemails pushing blame and refusing to take responsibility but through his messages alone you should be able to see what he was saying. I’ve included one of them where he refers me to his “mate under the table”.
A full breakdown of the costs are below:
$300 install
$350 honeycomb grille

Here is a breakdown of what happened
23/12/2023: Messaged through FB marketplace asking for a quote on an install
24/12/2023: Grille installed with Audi pre sense restriction. Told to he would fix it. Didn’t do anything and error stayed on. Told me to drive and it will turn itself off.
25/12/2023: My parents looked at the car and pointed out it looks like it just came out of a crash. Both left and right were misaligned and a clip for front sensor was broken. Car had never been in a crash and was in a perfect condition beforehand.
26/12/2023: He informed me he would fix it and that the error message is okay to ignore and its never happened to any of his customers before (REMEMBER THIS POINT). Tells me to continue driving it. Brought car in for him to fix the crashed look. Drove away and the sensor turned from a restriction to a malfunction. Car still looks like it just came out of a crash.
4/1/2023: Sends me a voicenote and the details of his friend who would help fix the issue. Told me he know someone at Audi Paramatta who will do it for $350. I ask him if he can do some other work on my car like install auto hold for $600 (he couldn’t do it). I ended up paying the guy $350 off of the trust I was putting into Zee
5/1/2024: Went to get car tuned by Euro mechanics who confirmed that it’s not something that can be driven off. I leave my car with Zee and he lends me one of his cars as he wanted time to work on my car. He then asks me to wash it the next day for him for $50.
4/2/2024:Issue still persists and he calls me to buy a bracket from ebay for $100 to fix the ACC (it doesn’t do anything. He starts ghosting me and even after a month no effort from his end to help me any further.
12/3/2024 I end up going to Audi directly who fixed the issue within an hour and said the original person who installed the grille messed up the installation. Zee mentions his friend blamed him too for his installation and I confirm that independent Audi mechanic and Audi themselves confirmed it was the original installer’s fault. Proceeds to admit that it happens sometimes even though mentioned it never happens back on 26/12.read more

Bought a unit from Zee and got it sent to Melbourne. After getting it installed through someone he recommended, it had... issues on and off over two years. Had issues since March 2021 up until I fixed it out of pocket this week. Wasn’t able to use my CarPlay nor Audi MMI & reverse camera. I contacted him multiple times to seek a resolution. He claimed that he would find someone or that he would come fix it if he came down to Melbourne. However, he never followed through. He became slow with his responses and blamed me for leaving it for so long even though he never told me to outsource. Seems like everyone is happy with his products and services until there’s an issue, then he becomes troublesome to deal with. He is unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone.read more

Installed the CarPlay kit in my 2016 Audi s3. Product works perfectly and I love the upgraded look it gives compared to... the original audi system.

Zee was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. He was able to offer me installation based in Melbourne, but I decided to try install it myself. With the help of prompt responses from Zee, installation was quick and simple and everything is neatly tucked away behind the glove box.
